Additional information

Members and associates of the Mid Atlantic Fishery Management Council visited the EU for part 2 of a joint seminar with the Pelagic AC and to exchange experiences on fisheries management issues in both regions. The seminar comprised presentations on various topics, e.g. industry participation in data collection, ecosystem-based approach to fisheries management, gear technology and the role of ICES in EU fisheries management. The program was supplemented with various field trips to e.g. Karstensen's shipyard, Skagen's skipper academy, the fish auction in Hirtshals and the flume tank in the North Sea Center in Hirtshals.
