MYFISH aims at developing new Maximum Sustainable Yield indicators that can ensure high levels of fishery yield while respecting ecological, economic and social sustainability thus contributing to achieve the Good Environmental Status (GES) foreseen in the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD).

Possible topics to discuss during the meeting include:

  • Suggested management scenarios for pelagic fish management in the light of MSY and future of management plans
  • Suggested management scenarios for pelagic fish management in the light of the discard ban
  • How pelagic fish management relates directly to the MSFD goals to achieve Good Environmental Status and how that might affect pelagic fisheries
  • Map social behaviour differences between pelagic fish stakeholders / map the choices made by pelagic stakeholders with regards to fishing.
